My students need calming room dividers to create soothing learning centers.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Healey's classroom raised $707

My Students
My students are great at following routines, engaging in tactile tasks, and working together on learning projects.
The way that autism impacts my students results in over-stimulation from a distracting or cluttered environment.
Our students are little, active learners who need a clean, clear space to help them make sense of their natural environment.
Our school's classrooms are a bit on the cramped side, with not a whole lot of room to spare. My students spend a portion of their day rotating to different IEP goal driven centers. Currently, we have shabby old bookcases serving as partitions, so that small groups can work simultaneously with less distractions.
My Project
Having soothing, fresh, clean dividers will allow us to let go of our drab shelves. We don't even use the shelves for storage, because irrelevant, exposed materials can confuse (and tempt!) students away from the task at hand. Students will be able to focus more independently on learning when their environment sets them up for success.
So much generosity has been show to our classroom this year.
Calm-colored dividers will be the cherry on top of an already much-improved classroom set up. This project will let students walk into a clean, clutter free classroom each day for some joyful learning.
