A Calm Classroom

My Project

From my experience, students facing anxiety struggles are at an all-time high. The goal of this project is to create a calm and organized classroom where students will be able to feel at peace and safe. The seating cushions will allow them to learn more easily. Students will have an opportunity to sit around the classroom in a more comfortable place.

Pencil sharpening has been a frustrating part of the class year for students.

The pencil organizer will make it easier and more organized when sharpening and returning pencils.

The mountain-themed bulletin board supplies are calming in color and encourage students to do hard things and to "summit" their "mountains". This is a skill/motto that we learn about during the first few weeks of school and touch on throughout the school year.

Mrs. Pfister will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 15.
