A Call for Healing and Social Change Part 2

I need trauma informed training, tools, and strategies to support myself, my students, and school community at large.

My Students

My students are hard-working, focused, curious, down-to-earth, kind, and compassionate. It is a socioeconomically and ethnically diverse group. They rose to the challenge of the distance learning model to the best of their respective abilities. A shared value amongst them all is their desire to learn.

My Project

The students and staff at my high school are a group of hard-working, goal-driven, and compassionate people. This past year has presented tremendous obstacles that have been faced with grace and courage. Nevertheless, I see within myself, my students, and colleagues that we are facing a type of fatigue we've never encountered before.

I want to implement a trauma-informed, inclusive yoga, wellness, and social-emotional learning program that will serve my students, colleagues, and other schools within my district.

The opportunity to attend and continue to learn how to do this invigorates and restores me. I hope to facilitate this same sense of empowerment and healing amongst students and staff through yoga and SEL wellness strategies.

I want us to move forward with an intention and vision that nurtures our pathway to serving our communities to the best of our abilities. Thank you for your time and consideration in supporting this project.
