A Bright Start to Successful Year

My Students

My school is located in Florida. I have a diverse classroom. My students' ages range from 5-7 years. There are 7 boys and 1 girl in my classroom. My students love coming to school and participating in a range of activities.

My students are on the autism spectrum and love to have a structured environment on a daily basis.

They use individual visual schedules in daily functioning. We engage in both large group and small group activities as part of our daily routine. They love to read, sing, dance, play and do any activities that preschoolers generally enjoy. They also enjoyed the use of manipulatives, iPads and games as a part of small group rotations. They look forward to these activities on a daily basis.

My Project

It is the beginning of a new school year and I am extremely excited to give my students a bright and organized start to a successful school year. I want my student to be greeted by a warm and inviting classroom environment that will give them a desire to come to school daily. I am therefore requesting decorative items such as curtains, carpet and hanging decorations.

My students thrive best in an organized and structured environment.

My request for caddies and book holders and colored spots will help my students to stay organized from the moment the arrive until they leave at dismissal. The need for storage bins is to assist with the independent work stations that is a part of the curriculum for my students. I am thrilled about this new school year. I am confident that with my enthusiasm and the help of my generous donors that students will thrive with these supplies.
