This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class of second graders love books and reading! They were so excited to visit our school library and choose their own books to read! We have many books in our classroom as well, but many are too easy or hard for my readers. I want to foster a lifelong love of reading by providing new books that will engage students without being too challenging.

A new bookshelf will allow me to store all the books in our ever-expanding classroom library and keep them organized.

I have requested many books that will be "just-right" for my students' current reading levels. I can't wait to see them find new favorite books to enjoy!
