My Students

My students are creative, diverse, engaged learners. They show interest in all parts of language learning, including its cultural aspects. As mixed general ed and special ed group, differentiated instruction is truly a benefit to this group. They love having the option to move around the room and explore the ​language through various activities and being able to integrate other disciplines.

My students really learn best and enjoy the lessons when the environment is active, welcoming, and engaging.

My students love to maintain a high standard and display their work. They often reach out to each other for help and truly enjoy being able to explore the many facets of culture and language together.

My Project

Our students have various learning styles. We feel that a Chromebook will afford students opportunities to explore a new language in ways that will be beneficial to them. Our classroom is co-taught and many students benefit within a smaller group setting. One way we plan to accomplish this is through learning centers. Learning centers will then give students more individualized attention. Having a center utilizing the Chromebooks will give students an opportunity to explore virtual tours, connect with other students in Spanish-speaking countries, research writing topics, explore festivals and videos, and take part in their own learning.

A Chromebook will allow students an opportunity to experience the Spanish language and culture through authentic materials.

They will also have the ability to speak to native speakers. Students will be able to feel pride by being an active part of their own second language experience.

A Chromebook will greatly increase the resources that will be available to our students.
