My Students
I am a teacher of the best grade in the world…Third Grade! They are up against some hard challenges during this pandemic. I am so proud of how brave and willing to learn they are. They are always striving to be the best kids they can be. They are leaders who plan on leading the world in a great direction someday!
I have 23 hardworking and enthusiastic learners in my class.
They put so much energy into everything they do. It brings a smile to my face to see them engaged and wanting to learn everyday.
My Project
Each year, I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to my class. Students are hooked onto this story, which is becoming a classic of our time. I would love to give each student their own book to hold in their hand while we are reading it. We are in a day where students are reading more digitally. I want students to fall in love with the paperback version and love the feel of a good book in their hands.
Sports themed books and books with boys as the main character are limited in my library.
I want to add some high interest novels to my classroom library to get all students to be engaged during our reading block. These books will be a great new addition to our classroom.
