This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school year is soon coming to an end. My little first graders have done so amazingly in all academic areas but what I'm most proud of is how far they have come in their reading. It truly is such an incredible feeling to hear a child break the code and take off with their reading.
This book shares why it was so wonderful to meet them and get to know them.
I'd like to give them this book as an end-of-the-year gift and dedicate each book with special words just for them. Some students may not understand the meaning behind each sentence but I hope they keep their book and learn to cherish it and look back on it in the years to come and remember how much their first-grade teacher loved them. My wish for them is to always have happiness and love wherever they may go.
Oh, and I’m also requesting Instax wide film so that I may take a picture on my kiddos and place it inside their book next to my dedication.
