My Students

My students are eager learners! They have a desire to learn in a variety of ways. As a teacher in a Title I school. My students are faced with several challenges in and out of the classroom. I am looking to provide my students with fun and meaningful learning experiences. My students love to move around and work in groups. Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and as a school, all students receive free breakfast and lunch. The challenges they face may not provide them with the experiences many of us think of as "typical." By providing meaningful and fun experiences at school I am hopeful that students in my class will achieve academic excellence.

My Project

My students love to read every day in class and only have one opportunity a week to check out books from our school library and are limited to the number of books they can check out.

My students need new grade level books to read every day in class.

By your donations, they will be able to read books that interest them and that will help strengthen their reading skills in class.

Many of the books that are available for use are tattered and torn and could use updating. Every donation counts and will be very appreciated in our classroom!
