I am a reading teacher and interventionist in a wonderful school in Wisconsin. My students are exceptional, and I love going to school every day to see the sparkle in my students' eyes. I also get to connect with students of various ages during and after school. I truly have the most special job in the world and treasure every day with my students! My students love to read and explore many different topics. They are curious and love to learn! My students are amazing!
I teach using the Orton Gillingham, structured literacy approach, and for the fluency portion, I like to make sure that I am including nonfiction, and science topics.
These wonderful Guided Reading Nonfiction Short Reads, on Level F, are amazing! I have three of the lower leveled Short Reads already and use them constantly. They are wonderful for making sure that my students are exposed to a plethora of nonfiction science topics like climate, weather, endangered species and so many others. We use these to pull out main ideas and practice writing and to improve fluency through repeated readings. Thank you so much for any help that you can give to get this wonderful resource into our classroom.
