This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from various backgrounds from the inner-city in Bronx, NY. My students are hard-working, creative, and motivated! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! With so much potential to grow and excel into great Readers, Writers, and Mathematicians, my students would greatly benefit from hands-on material in their unique learning styles.

My goal as a teacher is to provide my class with various types of learning tools, resources, and experiences.

It would make a world of a difference!

My Project

In spring, our class would like to visit the Dyckman Farmhouse Museum. This trip would give my hard working students the opportunity to visit the last standing farmhouse in the New York City area! This trip also correlates with the New York City standards of our Social Studies unit. Students have been learning about what life was like back then compared to now. This trip will give our kids a chance to see what farming was like in the 18th and 19th century. Giving my students this experience would mean the world to me! Please help support our students and take us on this amazing trip!
