My Project

My students learn best when they get the chance to take ownership by being creative and having choices in their learning! I want to create a project for them where they can do just that! They will be completing a biography research assignment this year as an integrated social studies and writing project. They will be able to choose a person they are interested in do research on and will have the option of choosing from the Who Was books available.

Then students get to get creative!

They will choose how they want to present their research to the rest of the class. They will be able to use the art supplies (paint, colored pencils, markers, etc.) along with the technology already in our classroom to create their presentation. Things like the ink will be used to print pictures for them. Allowing them a variety of options will give each student the opportunity to create something they are proud of. And nobody can say no to a little candy motivation to keep them working and give them something to munch on as they listen to their classmates presentations!
