My Project

My classroom library of over 1000 books needs to keep growing. If I want my students to continue their love of reading, I need to provide them with more and more books to explore.

Recently, my students have been asking for books that involve sports.

This project is (primarily) dedicated to YA books about sports. Filled with fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, and books that challenge the status quo, this project will help students experience mainstream sports like baseball and basketball while helping them to open their eyes to lesser appreciated sports like fencing or tennis.

Among the books are some other needs for my classroom, like candy for classroom rewards and tissues (for classroom nose blows lol).

As always, I'm so grateful to donors who go out of their way to help my students grow as young readers.
