This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are young learners ranging from three year olds about to turn four to young four year olds. My students are learning that reading is fun. They love to look at books, view the illustrations, and try to read them as well. They enjoy their quiet time in our reading nook, to sit and read. The more books we have in our classroom library, the more knowledge my Pre-K students obtain.

My students are eager learners that come from many different backgrounds.

Some are read to at home and some learn what being read to is like when they step into my classroom. They have fun personalities and constantly ask questions because of their curiosity of the world around them. My school is a Title 1 school full of diversity in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

My Project

By funding this project and providing more books for my classroom, my students are exposed to more books, more language and ideas, and you will be helping to build their vocabulary. My students will have the chance to look at and review these books every week. They will learn more about what we are studying and inquire more about the subject as they look at the books and listen as I read to them. They enjoy our discussions after each reading and they will continue to become inquisitive learners.

They ask more questions and receive more answers; therefore,they gain more knowledge.

They love to learn. This will help them in that process.
