Kids deserve a better chance in school. Please help!

My kids are from inner-city communities that feed into a failing school district.

They are smart, funny, and willing to learn but they haven't been given much of an opportunity to do so. I want the best for my students. I know they are capable of learning yet they need sufficient resources to do so effectively. The resources I'm requesting don't sound glamorous - pencils, markers and chart paper aren't exactly the stuff of great stories. But I have to tell you, these supplies will make or break my ability to teach my students well. At the end of last year, running out of pencils, markers, and chart paper was a daily stress. I couldn't perform certain activities in class because most of the items I mention are used up quickly especially with a huge student caseload. I work very hard to maintain the use of the supplies that I do have as much as possible, but ultimately, I need a lot of it for my 100 students! Your donation will allow me to teach effective lessons that are fun and

My Project

With the supplies I have requested, students will feel confident and prepared for school. They will not have to worry about not being able to have a notebook or pencil because their parent didn't have the funds to purchase them. They also don't have to feel out of place in the classroom because they are without the basic supplies for school. With these supplies I can alleviate their anxiety and frustration which allows them to focus better in class.

This project is important because my students are important.

They have so much potential and deserve the best. I plan to give them the best in terms of creating engaging lesson and planning fun activities which will require these supplies.
