Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have just moved to the country and are learning English for the first time. Some of them have never had a formal education before. They are eager to learn the language and are highly respectful students who look at me smiling and talking to them in a language they don't understand. These are the students I teach every day.

These angels move from learning the alphabet and identifying sounds to reading very quickly.

We help students learn English while holding on and becoming literate in their own language as well. My students come from all around the world, from many different and often difficult situations. They hold the American Dream, but need the tools to make them successful.

My Project

My newcomers need everything since they just moved to our country. I'm trying to help them out with some backpacks to carry their books on the bus, so they can study at home, and some bean bag chairs to be comfortable while reading at school in small groups.

By donating to our group, you will help increase academic achievement, and foster the love of reading and learning.

I truly believe education is the key to success, and today's children are tomorrow's future. Thank you for considering us as we are a low income Zoom school, with the focus on English Learners, who came here to better their lives. With flexible seating in our reading center and sturdy backpacks, along with the free binders I got them from our partner in ed warehouse, my students will be set for success all around, and therefore able to just focus on learning, and not have to worry about needing things their families can't afford.
