My Students
Some call us engineers while others call us innovators, but we don't mind you, just thinking of us as the "Knights in Coding Armor!"
Our school is a new STEM school rich in PBL and community.
We are a public, magnet school offering a unique curriculum rich in "doing" and based on experiences. Our empowering atmosphere has attracted students from miles around, but what's most special is that we are located in the heart of a diverse community that is categorized as being the most in need of high-quality education. Students at our school come from a wide range of backgrounds, and we are proud that we are able to support and nurture innovative STEM education.

My Project
For the last two years our students have missed out on opportunities to get out and see the world. in our setting, many students have almost forgotten what "normal" was. They've been isolated and distanced from experiences that were incredibly common just a few years ago.
What students need now is a reason to be excited to come to school and this project will help students see, create and collaborate in exciting ways.
This project will serve our students social-emotional and academic needs through three different avenues all involving 3D.
The 3D printer filament will be used with our 3D printers in STEM projects. The Oculus Quest 2 will be a second device of its type and allow students the opportunity to step away from the world of this pandemic and visit the endless number of places that they're learning about. The video equipment will help upgrade the school's greenroom while providing students an avenue to connect with each other in a familiar way while building a desired skill.
