I work at a Math and Science Magnet High School that is a focus school and serves several high need communities in our city. I currently work with 60 students and several cannot afford to buy copies of novels that are required by the schools curriculum. Parents always buy supplies for their younger students, but the high school students often get forgotten.
The novels in this school are in short supply and very badly used. Several students have to share novels because we don't have enough to go around. A few parents will purchase the books, but we can't require them to do so.
By supplying a class set of novels you will ensure that this generation of students will learn the importance of things like: leadership, civilization, and self actualization, just to name a few.
Your donation will make it possible for my low income students to receive the same opportunities as their more affluent counterparts. The books will also be used for future generations.
