Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

To love the students at our school is to know the joy teaching some of the most promising young men and women in our "Little Town." They rise above sickness, death, less than optimal internet services, and other deficits that plague all schools nationwide.

We are small in number but GREAT in desire to be the next generation of World Changers!

My Project

With the rise in positive COVID cases, we need a first line of defense when our students enter the building. The handheld thermometers often provide irregular readings or don't work at all.

The infrared thermometers will enable the faculty and staff to accurately monitor the students' temperatures and make better decisions when illnesses arise.

Being proactive will ensure a safe and healthy campus. The best safeguards we have at the school level are everyday sanitizing supplies, personal cleaning supplies, and guidelines set forth to protect both the students and teachers. The thermometers will add to the fight against COVID and its new variant.
