Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As our 8th grade promotion is right around the corner, numerous diligent students have worked hard, despite the adversity they face both at home and at school. Honors students, AVID students, orchestra/band students, and student athletes have maintained GPAs above 3.5. Many students are involved in multiple clubs including robotics, Care club (SEL club), Leadership/ASB, and athletic teams, and volunteer around the school while maintaining A & B grades. These students don't get the special recognition they deserve. I would love to recognize them at their promotion ceremony with these honor cords based on their achievements. I plan to color code the cords based on whether they are Honors, AVID, athletes, ASB, club leaders, and part of VAPA.
