My Students

I have the honor of working with and educating some dynamic 8th grade students! My students are very energetic and enjoy learning especially through engaging and interactive activities. My students are some strong and inspiring individuals that strive for continued excellence despite of their economic hardships that many of them fight through daily. Their strength and aspiration to master content is evident through their classroom engagement and limitless effort to work hard in class. My students are champions of prosperity!

My Project

This school year I have partnered with the ELA teacher on my team to implement writing activities throughout my social studies curriculum. My students will engage in a historical research paper on the following topics Andrew Jackson and a key event from the Civil Rights Era. Having chrome books at my students finger tips will give my students especially those without computers the opportunity to engaged in remarkable extensive research that will fully allow students to explore and understand these historical events. Students will then have the opportunity to use the chrome books to type their research findings and conclusions. The final part of the project will be a voice over power point presentation. Students will use the headphones/microphones to record their voice over the Power Point presentation. Students will then listen to their recordings with the use of the headphones to ensure they are accurate prior to presenting their presentations to the class.
