My Project
I've made it past the five year burnout hump and I'm still loving teaching! Next year will be my 6th year, and I will require some essentials to keep the momentum going.
After 6 years I know what students need to be successful.
They need social-emotional tools, like fidgets and stress balls. They need math tools like division white boards and math strategy posters. They need high engagement and rewards systems that include epic prize box items. They need more than just the basics, like art supplies, and not just crayons, but charcoal, rice paper, mod podge and spray fixative for advanced projects. They need individualized supplies, like name tags that match 5th grade standards, and screen protectors for sensitive eyes. Finally, they need more than just the curriculum- they need lessons that are fun an interesting, which can most often be found on Teachers Pay Teachers.
