This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic 6th graders that are ready to learn math. We have a diverse community of learners with a variety of needs. We work together to ensure everyone in the class has their needs met. Also, we hold each other accountable for meeting the schools high expectations.

My students strive to become the best versions of themselves.

They each have unique stories and come together forming a wonderful learning community. They are learning how to make good choices in their behavior and attitudes every day.

My Project

Sixth graders need to be able to move through out the day. This project would bring flexible seating into my 6th grade classroom. These wobble seats and balance balls will allow the students to get their wiggles out at their seat while still focusing on the lesson.

These growing students need to get their wiggles out somehow in order to maintain focus.

I teach a variety of students who would truly benefit from this type of seating in order to wiggle and wobble without interrupting the other students. Ultimately, I would love to supply my students with what they need in order to be successful in 6th grade math.
