Help me give my students basic supplies such as: composition notebooks, folders, fidgets, markers, pencils, crayons and tissues. My students need these supplies to get through the school year!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in at a middle school through high school in the South Bronx in New York. My students come from varied ethnic backgrounds and races, but all from within the same neighborhood.
We are a New York City community school that has growing special education and ELL populations.
I am the IEP Coordinator of a sixth grade through twelfth grade school and work with our Special Education Department. We strive in creating a Special Education Department that fully supports our students academically and socially. We are preparing them for a future that includes college and career.
Through the support of DonorsChoose and your donations, I am able to create lessons that are experiences for our students, not just seeing a video or reading a textbook. With your help, we can be better prepared to support our students by providing thought provoking, hands-on learning experiences.
My Project
Please help our classroom!
Our students are lacking the basic necessities to get through the school year.
Pencils and notebooks and tissues, oh my! Our students survived pandemic teaching and are coming back to the classroom and need stress toys to help them when they start to lose focus. Markers, crayons, and colored pencils to color out the stress or use to color diagrams and graphs. Notebooks and folders to stay organized in their classes.
Please support our classroom, our kids are awesome and deserve the best and we need your help!
