6th Grade Outdoor Camp Gear!

My Project

In December, we will be going to 6th grade camp! This is a great opportunity for students to learn about nature and science outdoors! Unfortunately, it can be pretty cold and students are not always prepared.

Help me keep students warm while taking advantage of an amazing opportunity to learn outside!

Gloves, hats, and hand warmers are the best way to do this with a large group. Coats are provided at the camp so these are really the items that will fill in the gaps and allow us to give to as many students as possible.

Students will be hiking around, investigating nature, socializing with peers and enjoying all they can while being outdoors! Last year, it even snowed while we were hiking and crossing a river using a wire bridge. We had so much fun, but we had to go back early to warm up from the cold temperatures. Students did enjoy some snowball fights though.

My group loved hiking and walking around. They just wanted to keep moving and keep exploring. They had so much fun despite the cold and they kept talking about camp when we returned. This is the last year 6th graders in our district will go to camp since it will be 5th graders going forward. We want to have a great final trip!
