Please help fund scholarships for 30 students to be able to attend Medieval Times. The students receiving your funds are those who are unable to raise the total amount on their own. Each trip funded will go towards a well-deserving student. The students will be chosen based on overall need. This is an opportunity for all of our 6th graders to have a shared educational experience outside of the classroom that seamlessly ties to the content they learn in Social Studies.
My Project
Students in 6th grade learn about this important period in History. Specific topics that will be reinforced with the show include citizenship and feudalism as well as the art of sword fighting and basic theatrics.
"Medieval Times provides students with skills they need to become modern-day Knights of the Realm." As the adventure begins, there will be a 30-minute presentation about medieval history with educational vignettes focusing on good citizenship and the code of chivalry.
This is all being played out while the students are enjoying their lunch. Then, as we bring history to life, they will witness knights on horseback compete in tournament games, authentic jousting matches and sword fights on their mighty Andalusian stallions."
These funds allow 15 students to attend at a full scholarship rate and 15 students to go on a partial scholarship. The 6th grade teachers feel it is critical for ALL students to be able to participate in this phenomenally engaging field trip!
