Our students come from a tight-knit community where education is strongly valued. They have a thirst for knowledge and deserve to have all the tools they need to succeed. My colleague and I teach 150 vivacious eleven- and twelve-year-olds.
Our sixth graders are funny, enthusiastic, and hardworking!
They come to school daily with smiles on their faces, and they put a smile on mine. They deserve the best tools in their education to help them get far in their lives and accomplish their dreams!
I am requesting a few electronic devices to streamline our technology within the classroom. Having a reliable clicker is crucial for my teaching style, so I can lecture from anywhere in the room. I prefer to walk around instead of standing in front of my computer, and this wireless technology allows me to do this.
The wireless mouse will be used for students to pick and highlight information on our smartboard from anywhere in the room.
We will pass the mouse around the class and they can participate in real time with any content that is being projected at the front of the room.
The USB hub will accommodate the extra technology pieces.
Finally, I am switching to teaching ELA next year and would love the marquee letters to help my students ENJOY reading and foster a love for literature. I am so excited to teach them Language Arts next year and cannot wait to see how comfortable they feel in my classroom. It is my philosophy that a cozy classroom makes kids feel comfortable enough to learn properly, and these letters will help achieve that feeling.
