Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a title 1 school with a high population of free and reduced-price lunches as well as high English Language Learners. My students come from hard working parents and instill that in their children. My students are not exposed to a lot of life experiences, but are filled with amazing personalities and are always willing to learn. My students are able to accept that there are barriers in life but able to fight adversity to accomplish their goals. My students are so eager to learn and sit at the edge of their seats ready for the next thing!

Students at are resilient individuals.

They take the cards that are dealt to them, and they will play it to obtain success. They value their education, and it shows through the pride they have in their work and how they interact with others.

My Project

Students participating in this five day virtual program offered by Camp Cuyamaca Outdoor School will support their learning in science curriculum as well as strengthen their mental and emotional well being. They will be able to explore science and nature by watching fun instructional videos and participating in activities to enhance their learning at home as they are not able to experience it in person. Students will be able to use the provided learning kit based on the cost of of the trip to interact with peers and instructors online to do fun activities while at home.
