My Students

Our students come from the inner city. They are good children and they are eager to learn. Many students come from challenging backgrounds and they depend on school to be a safe and important part of their day. Our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Our students are in serious need of many school related items.

The students are kind and compassionate. They work and play well together. Most importantly they believe in community and they love school. New supplies will help them on their way.

My Project

The modern era of education is here. No longer can a single teacher meet the exact needs of all 25 students. Wifi tablets connect to our support programs for Reading and Math. Students can log on and work at their own pace and fill in every educational gap. Our goal is for students to be successful in reading and math by the end of 2nd grade. Being able to learn and do remediation electronically the children make great progress that I can monitor on a daily basis. In addition these electronic reading and math programs provide me with detailed reports to further guide the classroom instruction.
