This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of a STEAM station is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially during our math centers. During centers, students rotation between centers including guided math, iready activities, fluency practice, homework catch up, and our STEAM station. The STEAM station is the most popular! With a break from the books and the computers, students get to challenge their creativity and engineering skills to build structures, utilized different materials and work as a team. This hands on break allows students to communicate with each other and return back to their other stations refreshed and read to work!

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

Students will be able to exercise their engineering skills and have fun while doing it! Plus, building a love of learning is a life long skill that these students will take with them for the rest of their lives!
