This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students! I have a very well-behaved, sweet, and engaged group of 5th graders this year. I love how excited they are to participate in activities in class.

Everyday my students ask if we can do an activity for PE and unfortunately as a first year teacher, I do not have supplies to plan activities for them to improve in their physical fitness skills.

I plan to use the materials that I requested for standards-based instruction of PE skills. I would also like to plan team building activities using the supplies I have requested.

My students deserve to have adequate supplies to support their learning in physical fitness. 5th grade is also a notable year for state fitness testing. By using the supplies requested, I can help students improve in their fitness skills and do well with the state mandated testing.
