This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

If you haven't read the 39 Clues The Maze of Bones, do it! For the last 12 years I have read my copy as a read aloud. The students are engaged and want to explore the themes of the book every year. It touches base on American history, specifically the Declaration of Independence and Benjamin Franklin. The science content is perfect for learning about mixtures and solutions which are a 5th grade standard. It includes SEL themes of death & foster care, along with a scavenger hunt around the world. Please help get a copy in every students hands so they can analyze the text and incorporate it into their social studies and science learning!
