Help me give my students class sets for highly engaging novel studies where every student can have a book in their hands.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are asking for your support in providing our 5th-grade students with class sets of two incredible novels, Holes by Louis Sachar and Wonder by R.J. Palacio. These books will play a vital role in our novel studies this year, but we need help to ensure that each student has a copy in their hands.
Both Holes and Wonder are not only engaging and age-appropriate stories, but they also carry powerful messages about resilience, friendship, and understanding others.
These novels encourage critical thinking, empathy, and self-reflection—skills that are essential for our students both in and outside the classroom.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
