This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Novel studies are a wonderful way for students to develop skills such as analyzing, searching for text evidence and comprehending a story.

I love integrating different novels that talk about various cultures.

A Long Walk to the Water highlights the difficulties some people around the world face simply to access water. A Bridge to Terebithia highlights the need for friendship, empathy and even heartbreak. It’s what makes us human! These novel studies will be used for classes to come and will help educate my fifth graders. Plus they get to engage with a REAL book versus digital ones.
