My Project

Each week we have one hour designated to our Genius Hour, where students can truly tap into whatever they are passionate about. It is 100% student-driven and we are here to help them Dream It! Believe It! Do It! We encourage them to dream big and create and navigate a prototype that they can continue to highlight and fix each week! We help foster their love of learning and provide the supplies and resources they need each week! Students can create on the computer or physically bring something to "life!" It is truly magical to see their thinking come to life! I like to have everything from art supplies to computers to a class iPad available so students can take it to and from school to capture their genius. Students are allowed to go around the school to record, film, and take pictures with the iPad, so having a mobile class iPad will truly be innovative for us! If they are using the iPad to create their protoype they have access to apps and programming as well. The iPad will be used for students who are creating their genius hour project via technology, and not creating it with our class art supplies.
