Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 5th grade students are diverse in their culture , their individual needs and their abilities. I am so proud of the way they can answer questions and perform on their academic tasks.

I am trying to meet more students needs by channeling their energy during class time.

Time and time again they show me that it is hard for them to stay seated for long periods of time and keep focused on what they are doing. This is why we need this project.

My Project

The materials I requested for this project will assist many of my athletic type students channel their energy while they are in class. The stretch bands will provide our boys and girls take time to use there extra energy and get back to work. Once they have had a movement break they are ready to perform.

The jump ropes will allow students to work multiple parts of their body and keep them thinking while they take a movement break.

They will be able to work on their cardio vascular system, balance and they can count the times the rope passes over them. The yoga ball will help students who need more movement while sitting.
