Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our Kindergarten class will use the math supplies from this project to provide fun play-based learning in our math centers. Hands-on experiences using these math manipulatives will deepen my students' understanding of number sense through play and multi sensory activities while providing students the opportunity for autonomous independent learning. With this approach, students learn through essential standards based play while I am able to work with small groups of students. This allows me to focus on individual student needs, helping them achieve a deeper understanding of the core mathematics standards.
