My Project

At WMS, I work with the Social Emotional population. I am looking to create a sensory area within our classroom. My students all have special needs and often get sensory overload in a classroom full of activity. Because of this, they need a place to go to relax and calm themselves so they can rejoin the classroom. Each student has a different way of calming their bodies and minds, so the sensory room has to be full of activities for all their diverse needs. For example, this project is to help fill our room with more sensory items like sensory tables, liquid floor tiles, seating, and kinetic molding sand.
