My Project

My fourth-grade students will be starting a new literacy unit at the end of February on rocks and minerals. During the study, students will be learning about the rock cycle, earthquakes, and volcanoes.

The books that are part of this project will be a great addition to our classroom library as students conduct research on rocks and minerals during the unit.

One of my favorite aspects of this project is the differentiated level of texts I was able to get from National Geographic. This allows me to make sure that all of my students have access to a text that is easy for them to read independently.
