4th grade is a transition year, students are moving from lower elementary to upper elementary, they are big kids now. Growing up comes with different responsibilities at home and in school. My students need these supplies to help them be successful 4th graders, from learning to color code parts of speech, transport supplies from room to room, organizing their math equations on graph paper, or just to keep track of their belongings.
Students will be moving to different classes for differentiated lessons in 3 subject areas.
As they move from class to class they will need to take their classroom supplies with them in an organized way. Pencil boxes help them carry what they need from room to room in an organized and efficient manner.
We also use interactive notebooks in our classes and they require a lot of cutting and gluing, but we have found that these note books help students create a wonderful resource that many use through middle school.
