Recess is a crucial part of our students' day, providing them with the opportunity to be active, build social skills, and return to the classroom refreshed and ready to learn. This is the case whenever my fourth graders can go outside to play, however, we can't always go outside. Sometimes the weather is cold or it is snowy or rainy out and my class has to stay inside during recess. Unfortunately, our indoor recess equipment is limited, and many of our students struggle to find ways to stay engaged and active during their break.
For this project I am hoping to provide my class with alternative to screen time as a break during recess.
