My Students

I have 19 fourth grade students who come to school excited and eager to learn! Our school was recently approved to be the only STEM elementary school with a focus on engineering in our district. Our school has over 400 students.

We are not a Title I funded school, so we do not receive as many resources as other schools may have.

Our average class size ranges from 20 to 30 students. We have a strong parent group that supports our school and classroom teachers as we transition to a STEM school.

My Project

Flexible seating equipment has proved to be instrumental in higher focus and concentration, lower stress and anxiety for some of my students, and has given more ways for students who have sensory issues to move constantly throughout the day. This Sprogs vinyl soft pie shaped seating stool gives my students another flexible seating option to use throughout the school day.

Flexible seating allows my children to choose how they want to sit while also keeping them engaged in activities and lessons.

Keeping the students moving will decrease disruptions and allow for more instructional time. My students need flexible seating options to create an environment that will better assist their learning needs.
