Our classroom is a part of a very small Title I school. Our school is located on the Windward side of Oahu. My school has one grade per grade level with around 150 students in total. My fourth-grade classroom has 22 students and is a full inclusion classroom. My students are a very active, positive, and happy bunch. They are always wanting to learn more! Our class is currently working on our organizational skills in and out of the classroom to help them become more successful students.
My Project
The materials listed in my cart will have a great impact on my students' education. Being that we are a small Title I school in the middle of a pandemic, our funding has been cut short. We are unsure of what the school year will bring. I am hoping that the above resources will be a great addition to my classroom without having to worry about the funding our school may or may not receive.
I plan to use these resources to better help my future students during this difficult time.
As we are unsure of the funding our school will be given, I ask for these materials to be used for our next school year in my fourth-grade classroom.
My school lacks money for resources such as dry erase boards, headphones, and clipboards. By providing these for my students, they would be able to participate in individual game assessments, work outside with clip boards or even in different areas of the classroom, and have their own head phones for online instruction and testing that they may not be able to provide for themselves. Our classroom floor is made of tile. The only carpets we have are ones that teachers provide for their kids. Carpets are essential for our workshop model instruction. I would like to have one iPad in our classroom for instruction and to support special needs students with apps that they can use. Since we do not have access to a smart board or something like it, the iPad would help me teach subjects such as math by projecting the iPad to the board and using a stylus to model work or even have students model examples.
Thank you so much for considering donating to my classroom!
