My Project

I would love to acquire a differentiated library for my students who are reading at many different levels. I want to give my students the tools they need by putting books in their hands that excite them. Helping them find books they enjoy and they can read helps build their confidence and comprehension. Not having books that they can access limits their success.

Help me revamp the classroom library to make it organized, comfortable, and a place students will want to visit and sit to read a good book of their choice.

I will be teaching 4th grade next school year and I need leveled reading books according to 4th grade reading level. I love watching my students take off into the wonderful world of imagination that these books can bring. I want my students to progress from seeing a picture painted on a page in picture books, to having the ability with chapter books to paint that picture in their mind. Because of the opportunity to get into chapter books, they learn there's a whole new world waiting to be imagined, behind each book they pick up. Higher expectations lead to higher thinking, which now constitutes a need for academically higher-level books in our classroom library.
