My Project

Teaching reading standards can be difficult, especially if we don't have the correct materials to do so. This request is to help support my class with class sets of books that will help teach ELA standards from the IDOE curriculum.

Help give my students the opportunity to learn empathy and reading content through whole class readings.

My goal this year is to do a book each quarter and we will read it as a whole class. As we do that, I will be able to teach reading skills to the students and be able to give them different perspectives of how reading works. One of the main standards for 4th grade is being able to infer and summarize. With these books, I will be able to do that.
