This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am really excited to be a first-year teacher and take on 4th graders. I want all these materials to help them be prepared for the activities and lessons we will embark on together. I don't want to have to ask them to provide any materials by themselves considering my school serves low-income families. I want their only worry to be learning the material and for the parents to do the same. Helping us with things like pencils, markers, colors, and even puzzles will help us work through our feelings and build a classroom community. I am looking forward to a year full of learning.
