I have a wonderful class of 24 third graders. They are curious, and love to learn, move, dance, and work together. We are a family working together to be caring, empathetic, helpful, inclusive, and responsible citizens.
I have a very diverse class of learners.
Some students are working above grade level, and I have some students who struggle with reading sight words. However, we are all finding our gifts and using them to help one another. We realize that when we help others learn, everyone wins.
My Project
These round tables will be an asset to my classroom. They are adjustable, which means my students can stand as they work. This is good for mental and physical health as well as productivity.
The table tops are dry erase material.
That means we can practice spelling, math, science, vocabulary, make story maps, or even have time to draw or doodle. This will save time, as we won't have to get and put away marker boards and markers for lessons.
My room is crowded with big tables, flexible seating, and 24 bodies. We are always tripping over each other. These tables will give us room to move about and work together without feeling like we are always in someone's personal space.
