Help me give my students snacks - chips, pretzels, crackers, etc., that always bring a big smile to their faces. These snacks will help me make sure my students are always full and ready to learn!
Some students come to school without eating breakfast for many reasons. Most of the time it is because their families were running late and had no time to prepare. In some cases, meals are not easy to come by.
As we all know already, trying to learn with an empty stomach is hard to do.
To keep the learning momentum high in the classroom, it is important to increase the student's energy levels throughout the day.
Unfortunately, most of the student population come from low-income households. Which contributes to them not always bringing in a little something extra to hold them over till dismissal.
By having plastic containers for safe storage and providing students with fresh snacks such as cookies, crackers, chips, and juice. I am hoping to increase their focus while keeping stamina high.
I have seen these children throughout the years strive to make the best of what they have. Every student likes to shine. It is nice to see smiles on the children's faces when they are excited and feel special. I believe this action plan will significantly impact my students.
