Help me give my students a wonderful series that captures their imaginations, keeps them reading, and includes the brave and adorable pet lab, Ranger!

My Project

Reading by third grade is such an essential benchmark. Students quickly move from being taught to read, to reading as the vehicle that teaches them about....EVERYTHING else.

Now that they can decode (thank you 95% group phonics lessons): they need hours and hours of reading practice.

Finding the right book to entice a struggling reader to put down the tablet or cellphone and read is a big challenge. Reading on the tablet is also supported. Teachers will try everything to motivate our young readers, including introducing book on in a series to hook students on the story. I know how important this is and these delightful stories (that are also chalk full of great information) are one way of leading students to a life-long habit of reading for leisure.
