Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students in my school are from low income families, with 93% of the students receiving free/reduced lunch, and struggle immensely in reading and math. This school year I will be teaching 3rd grade Math and Science, and want to provide my students with a classroom that they are not only comfortable in, but wanting to come to everyday. One thing I have noticed in my primary classroom is my students love to have different seating around the room so that they do not have to stay in one spot all day, and where they can be comfortable completing tasks independently.

My goal is to be able to provide a safe, enjoyable classroom for my students where they can continuously progress and enjoy learning.

Since our school provides each student with a laptop, they need headphones to help them complete their independent tasks, and a safe place to store their headphones. With the bean bag chair and laptop desks, students can complete their tasks with flexible seating options as well.
